Responsibilities
- Patrol park grounds to ensure visitor safety and compliance with regulations
- Provide exceptional visitor services including information, assistance, and emergency response
- Conduct educational programs and interpretive talks on local ecology and history
- Monitor park facilities and report maintenance needs
- Enforce park regulations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Document incidents and maintain detailed activity reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in environmental science preferred
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Experience in customer service or outdoor education
- Knowledge of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems
- Ability to walk long distances on uneven terrain
