Responsibilities
- Conduct weekend patrols and visitor safety enforcement at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve
- Deliver interpretive programs about coastal ecology and wildlife conservation
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid assistance as needed
- Monitor park conditions, report maintenance issues, and enforce park regulations
- Assist with resource management activities including habitat restoration
- Collaborate with law enforcement during special events and high-traffic periods
- Maintain accurate incident reports and visitor statistics
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in outdoor recreation, environmental education, or park operations
- Ability to work independently in remote coastal environments
- Strong communication skills with diverse public audiences
- Physical ability to traverse rugged terrain and lift 25 lbs
- Basic knowledge of California native flora and fauna
- Background check and fingerprint clearance required
