Job Overview
As a Public Works Laborer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the city's infrastructure. From road repairs to park maintenance, your work directly impacts the community. We are looking for physical, reliable candidates who are ready to get their hands dirty.
Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor including digging, grading, and hauling materials.
- Operate and maintain light to medium construction equipment (backhoes, rollers, skid steers).
- Assist in traffic control, flagging, and barricading for construction zones.
- Repair and maintain sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and storm drains.
- Assist in snow removal and winter maintenance operations.
- Keep work sites clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies from trucks.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Commitment to safety protocols and following instructions.
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
